Water Heaters in Novi

Water Heaters for Novi homes

Novi grew quickly from the late 1980s through the 2000s, so many of its subdivision homes now have furnaces and air conditioners reaching the end of their service life together. Many Novi families have outgrown the 40- or 50-gallon tank the builder installed. Larger households and newly finished bathrooms are the most common reasons we upsize tanks or switch to tankless here.

What's included

Tank and tankless water heater installation, replacement and repair, including high-efficiency and power-vented models. Depending on your home and equipment, the work can include:

• Conventional gas tanks
• Power-vented tanks
• Tankless (on-demand)
• Combi boilers
• Sizing.
• Venting.
• Gas supply.
• Safety.
• Removal.

Full details, how the work runs and common questions are on our main water heaters page.

Local conditions in Novi

With furnaces, air conditioners and water heaters often the same age, Novi homeowners benefit from yearly checks that track all three, so replacements can be planned instead of rushed.

Questions to ask before you hire

Whoever you hire for water heaters in Novi, get clear answers to these before signing:

• Is a tank or tankless unit the better fit for my household?
• What venting changes are needed?
• Is my gas line large enough for a tankless unit?
• Will you remove and dispose of the old tank?

Permits and licensing

In Michigan, installing or replacing a furnace, air conditioner or heat pump generally requires a mechanical permit and inspection, and the work must be done by a licensed mechanical contractor. In Novi, permits are handled by the City of Novi's building division. New electrical circuits are done by a licensed electrician under an electrical permit. We pull the permits that apply to your project.
